Music / Band Guide (KG-8th) 

Part-Time:  24hrs/week (Tuesday-Thursday)

Start Date:  August 21, 2017

Description:   It is the fundamental responsibility of every employee of Rochester Montessori School to embrace the values and beliefs expressed in the Montessori philosophy and to work constantly to use them in daily classroom practice.  Under the supervision of the Head of School the Music Guide is responsible for teaching music education to pupils in grades K-8.  The Guide seeks to develop in each student an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture; to teach techniques of vocal and/or instrumental music expression; to discover and develop talents of pupils in the field of music; to develop knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.


- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

- Appropriate Teaching License covering grades KG-8 preferred

- Experience with International Baccalaureate programming valued but not required

Lead Late Pick Up Guide

Part-time:  2:45-5:45, Monday-Friday

Duration:  School Calendar

The lead late pick up guide is responsible for the supervision and care of Elementary aged students who remain after school for late pick up services.  If you would like to be considered for this position, please fill out an application and send it along with a resume and references to Joan Lowery, Assistant Head of School.

The success of children's education at the Rochester Montessori School is due to our qualified and dedicated group of staff who work with children and the support of their parents. We rely on our substitutes when regular staff members are sick or attending to professional responsibilities outside the school.
