    Position Opening

    Elementary 1 Guide (ages 6-9)


    Rochester Montessori School serves 220 children from 18 months to eighth grade on a beautiful 15-acre campus. RMS fosters a teamwork approach and is dedicated to helping children develop independence, critical thinking, and respect towards self, others, and the environment.


    The Elementary 1 Guide serves in a mixed-age (6-9 year olds) classroom, along with an experienced assistant. The Guide is responsible for administering Montessori lessons, and overseeing all aspects of classroom functioning.


    Required Qualifications:

    ● Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, other)


    Preferred:

    ● A four-year degree or higher

    ● Experience in a Montessori classroom


    Job Classification: Full-time, exempt


    Salary range: $45,000-54,000

  • Spanish Teacher

    Rochester Montessori School


    Position Opening

    Spanish Teacher (1st-8th grade)


    Rochester Montessori School serves 220 children from 18 months to eighth grade on a beautiful 15-acre campus. RMS fosters a teamwork approach and is dedicated to helping children develop independence, critical thinking, and respect towards self, others, and the environment.


    The Spanish teacher plans and delivers a strong Spanish language program that helps students speak and understand Spanish.


    Required Qualifications:

    ● Fluency in Spanish

    ● Experience teaching Spanish


    Preferred:

    ● A four-year degree or higher

    ● Experience in a Montessori setting


    Job Classification: .5 FTE, exempt (This position can be combined with a .5 FTE Classroom Assistant position to create a full time position)


    Salary range: $21,000-22,000 (if combined with assistant position: $42,000-44,000)

  • Receptionist/Office Assistant

    Receptionist/Office Assistant (Half-Time, 1:30 - 5:30 PM)


    Rochester Montessori School – Rochester, MN

    Rochester Montessori School, founded in 1967, is seeking a warm, professional, and highly organized half-time Receptionist/Office Assistant to join our administrative team. This role

    serves as the welcoming presence at the front desk and works closely with the Office Manager and school leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.


    Schedule

    Monday - Friday, 1:30 - 5:30 PM

    Year-long position (school holidays observed)


    Primary Responsibilities

    • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
    • Greet, screen, and assist visitors while maintaining school safety procedures
    • Monitor building entry and manage visitor sign-in protocols
    • Support student dismissal processes and attendance tracking
    • Respond to parent inquiries via phone and email
    • Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
    • Maintain organized front office systems and supplies
    • Provide administrative support in coordination with the Office Manager and school
    • leadership
    • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding students, families, and personnel

    Qualifications

    • Prior receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Professional judgment and discretion
    • Comfort using office technology (Google Workspace, email, databases, Canva)
    • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy and dynamic school environment
    • Commitment to fostering a welcoming and respectful school community

    Position Opening

    After School Assistant


    Rochester Montessori School serves 220 children from 18 months to eighth grade on a beautiful 15-acre campus. RMS fosters a teamwork approach and is dedicated to helping children develop independence, critical thinking, and respect towards self, others, and the environment.


    The After School Assistant helps to provide supervised child care for children (ages 18 months to 6th grade) in RMS’s after school program. Hours are from 2:45-5:30, Monday through Friday.


    Required Qualifications

    ● Experience in a child care or school setting


    Preferred

    ● Education background or degree

    ● Experience in a Montessori setting


    Job Classification: hourly, non-exempt


    Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour
