Nancy Richardson, Ph.D

Middle School Guide, International Baccalaureate MYP Coordinator


Dr. Nancy Richardson serves as RMS’s IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator and teaches in the Middle School program, working directly with students in grades 7 and 8. Nancy holds a B.A. in Foreign Language and International Affairs from the University of Puget Sound and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Literature from Washington University in Saint Louis. She holds teaching certifications in English/Language Arts and German for grades 7-12, has completed AMI Montessori 12-18 Orientation, and has IB training in Leading the Learning (Category 1), Individuals and Society (Category 2), and Design (Category 2).


She brings extensive experience teaching and leading adolescent programs, including roles teaching German and English, leading an international student exchange program, serving as a Director of Community Service, and working as an Academic Dean. A lifelong learner, Nancy recently earned her second-degree black belt in Taekwondo. She is also learning Spanish and enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with her dog, Nora.
