
Ecology Guide, Spanish Guide
Nicole DeBurton is the Ecology Guide and a Children’s House Spanish Guide at RMS. She brings a background in Spanish, sociology, environmental education, outdoor leadership, and Montessori adolescent studies. Nicole holds a B.A. in Spanish and Sociology from Alma College in Michigan and an M.S. in Environmental Education from Lesley University/Audubon Expedition Institute. She completed NAMTA Orientation to Adolescent Studies in 2008 and has IB MYP Language Acquisition training. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of sustainable agriculture, foraging, ethnobotany, birds, and pollinators with students, along with the connections that language learning can create between people and cultures.
A Michigan native, Nicole loves spending time on the Great Lakes and enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and good food with good people.
